Can I remove rust with soda blasting?

No. Only very light "flash rust" is possible.

A unique feature of soda blasting is that no material is removed and that the surface structure of the object is not changed. But this is precisely what's necessary when you want to remove rust...
The soda blasting media is simply too soft and too brittle to remove rust, whatever blasting pressure you use.

A harder, conventional abrasive is necessary in order to remove rust. With a fine grain and a blasting pressure perfect results can be achieved, even on delicate surfaces. Besides soda, our soda blastpots can also be used with all other abrasives.
