Subsea blasting
Underwater blasting becomes much more safe, silent and comfortable without the use retrojets. Gritco’s SubSeaSeries does the job using extreme low nozzle pressures making it the most economical method to remove marine growth, paint and corrosion.

Subsea blasting requires higher system pressures creating unsafe and heavy working conditions. Using no more than 2 to 6 bars, the Gritco SubSea models work at just a fraction of the pressure commonly used by HP-systems. This enables safe, comfortable and economical blasting conditions for depths up to 200 meters.
Gritco’s aftercoolers
Trouble-free blasting with high quality surface results (ready for further processing) starts with dry compressed air. Gritco’s range of aftercoolers (possibly extended with filters) are designed to get the best possible air for small, mid-sized or large blasting systems.
The right choice of abrasives
Fast cleaning and a perfect (matt) finish result – for inspection and repainting purposes – are achieved with granular, expendable abrasives such as aluminum silicate (slag) usually in a 0.2 – 1.5 mixture.
The right compressor
“More power means more work means less time” is especially true for the power part of the blasting chain: the compressor. As time is of mayor importance in subsea blasting the compressor has to be powerful enough to provide sufficient (underwater) blasting power. The capacity should range between 8 and 12 m3/min at 10 to 25 bar (depending on the depth).
